Instructions for care

How to care for an Epiphyllum?
  • Exposure: no direct sunlight, but it needs plenty of light. When the plant is in bloom, it should be kept away from sunlight and any sources of heat.
  • Temperature: in summer, the ideal growing temperature is between 18° and 21°C; in winter, it should not fall below 10°C.
  • Watering: watering should be more intense during flowering; it likes humidity and does not tolerate the cold.
  • Repotting: it is not necessary to repot it every year, only when the pot is disproportionate. In this case, it is advisable to do so after flowering.
  • Outdoors: place outside from mid-May to the end of September; does not like dry conditions. It thrives outdoors in summer, and the cool September nights trigger flowering in December.
