Instructions for care

How to care for an azalea?
  • Watering: when watering, water generously until water comes out of the drainage holes. Do not fall into the common trap of leaving water in the saucer, which causes, as we cannot stress enough, suffocation and then rotting of the roots.
  • Temperature: in general, do not keep your azalea near a heat source; place it in the coolest and brightest spot in the room, near a window if possible but out of direct sunlight.
  • Outdoors: Only take the plant outside in May, placing it in partial shade and sheltered from the wind. Fertilise every fortnight and make sure it does not dry out. Before the frosts arrive, bring the plant indoors to a cool place (6 to 12°C) and water moderately until the flower buds appear, which will be your reward! A new cycle begins...
